I found a flint hand axe in the clay on the foreshore.

Quite a lot of clay was washed out of the cliffs. One other family was there looking for fossils on the beach, they found a small ammonite and a devils toe nail, we only found a few finds, a bivalve (Inoceramus), the alveolus end of a belemnite some 25mm in diameter! and a few small Oyster shells. We also found a long gone Porpoise at the foot of the cliff unfortunately he turned out not to be a fossil!
